Cindy Cole, of Charleston, Mr's. Doris Putnam and son of Joan na, Mr. and Mrs. Handall Farm er and son, Toni, attended a birthday dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Farmer and daughter, Velda, on Friday. They were honoring Mrs. Farmer on. her birthday. „ WILKES INFANT William Clevis Wilkes, Jr., 2- day-old infant son of William Cle vis Wilkes and Mrs. Mary Jane McLendon Wilkes, died early Monday morning at a local hos pital. Surviving, in addition to the pa rents, are a sister, Mona Carol Wilkes, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. I. C. McLendon, Mr .and Mrs. Boyd Wilkes, all of Clinton. Funeral services were conduct ed at the graveside in Rosemont cemetery late Monday afternoon by Rev. Milford Sanders. Mrs Fern Hardman, and Mrs. Milford Wright, left Saturday morning at 11:55 by train for Greenwood. After visits to Lander College. Self Memorial hospital and Connie Maxwell Orphanage, the return trip was made by bus. Twelve new Blue Birds wer enrolled. MRS. HOLLY WEHUNT Mrs. Mollie Gentry Wehunt, 57, died at her home at 410 Frances Street at 3:15 p. m., Thursday, after an illness of a year. A native of Gilmer County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Joe and Mary Stephens Gen try. She was an employee of Clin ton Mill. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Foun tain Inn. Surviving are her husband, Holly Wehunt; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Patterson and Miss Marie Wehunt, both of the home; three sons, Clarence Wehunt of Spartanburg; Dennis Wehunt of the home; and Cecil Wehunt of Woodruff; five sisters, Mrs. Sal- lie Roberts of Greenville; Mrs. C. L. Standridge of Woodruff; Mrs. J. L. Roberts of Simpsonville; Mrs. C. E. Wilson of Easley; and Miss Evelyn Gentry of Colum bia; two brothers, C. G. Gentry of Corbin. Ky., and Amos Gentry of Greenville: and five grandchil dren. Funeral services were conduct ed Saturday at 3:00 p. m. at Cal vary Baptist Church by the Rev. J. W. Spillers and Rev. Carlos Watson.
