Mrs. Oakley and son ar rived in New York Saturday from Germany and were met by Mr. Oakley, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Oakley and Johnny Oakley, who accompanied her to Clinton. They are now with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Oakley. Mr. and Mrs. Mazcy Reeder and.sons of Greenwood, were week-end guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Motte. Mrs. Sam Prince and. Miss Nellie Osborne, kindergar ten teacher .directed the children in the activities, after which they gathered around the refreshment table and sang “Happy Birth day” to Sherry. Her birthday cake waa pink and groan. Cup cakes, candy and punch were served. Party hats and baDoono were given each one. Sherry received many gifts. Social Security Question: I am 30 years old and worked under social security for nine years. One year ago I was in an accident. My doctor tells me I never will be able to work again. I didn’t try to freeze my social security record. I was ao young that I did not see bow it would do me any good. Do the 1950 changes in social security affect me? What should I do? Answer: If you are still dis- checks. Can I get social security office right away. Under the new law, you don’t have to be 50 years rid to get disability checks. Question: I married for the first time on January 1, 1858. My husband is over 65 years old and ie drawing social security checks. Can I get social security on his record? I am 62 years old and have never worked any my self. Answer: Before the 1960 chang es in social security, you had to be married for three years before you could get wife’s benefits Under the new law, you need to be married only one year to get wife’s benefits. Question: I am retired and drawing social security. Mine than a year ago I married again. My wife has an eight-year-old son by her first husband. Can my wife and step-son get checks on my social security account? Answer: Yes, under the 1960 changes in social security, a step child can get benefits after his mother and step-father have been married a year.
