Two Cough* Inside bought In Cou Store In County Laurens — Two young Laurens County men have been charged with housebreaking with intent to steal in connection with an entry into the Whiteway Cafe on Highway 25 near Ware Shoals, Sheriff R. Eugene Johnson report ed. The sheriff said the warrants were sworn out charging Larry Wayne Sexton, 17, and Barney Ray McCoy, 19. He said deputies Wallace Abercrombie, Joe Jones, and W. P. Dagnall were inside the building when the youths made a forced entry into the building about 3:00 a. m., Monday. J The place had been entered two weeks ago and a small amount of cash and merchandise were reported missing, the sheriff said. Officers said Sexton had just opened the cash register and Mc Coy was attempting to open the pinball machines when tney turn ed flashlights on them. Bell Street Group At Anderson Meet The annual meeting of the New Homemakers of District I was held at West Side High School in Anderson Saturday, with a rec ord number from Bell Street High School, Clinton, attending. Pruitt is home economics instructor. Mrs. Kennedy Laurens — Mrs. Nannie Parks Kennedy, 89, of 406 Chestnut St., died Friday morning in the local hospital after an illness of one year. She was the daughter of the late William T. Parks and Mrs. Letha Westmoreland Parks, and was a member of the First Bap tist Church of Laurens. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. L. Douglas Power of Laurens; two sisters, Mrs. H. M. Givens ami Miss Elizabeth Parks of Fountain Inn; and two grandehil dren. Funeral services were conduct ed Saturday at 3:00 p. m. at Ken nedy Mortuary chapel by Rev. Dr. Robert S. Cooper and Rev. Dr, J. E. Rouse.
