Former Resident
Fosses In Greenwood
James Benjamin McCombs, 51,
of HIS West Cambridge Ave.,
Greenwood, died Thursday in a
Greenwood hospital after several
weeks of illness.
He was born in Greenwood, a
son of Mrs. Dora Oulla O. Steer,
of this city, and the late Benja
min McCombs. He had lived in
Clinton prior to moving to Green
wood for five years. He was a
member of the First Baptist
Church.
Surviving in addition to his
mother tow his wife, Mrs. Atone
Bond McCombs; two ‘sisters,
Mrs. Andy Anderson of Holly
wood, Fla. .and Mrs. Robert Rice
of Concord, N. C.; and a half-
brother, Walter Barksdale.
Funeral services were conduct
ed at Blyth Funeral Home Fri
day afternoon by Rev. James A.
Bowers and Rev. J. H. Darr.
Burial was in Edgewood ceme
tery.
