Miss Sally Glenn, sophomore at King College, Bristol, Tenn., is arriving today to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Glenn during the holidays. AT HOME Friends of Lonnie S. Connie Hiighes, of Colum bia and Barnwell, who came spe- f oially to attend the Christmas dances at Presbyterian College. Mrs. Jack Scruggs, of Mc Cormick, is here for a several weeks visit with her daughter, Mrs. Rembert S. Truluck and Mr. Truluck. Miss Lee Burnett, of Colum bia, spent the week-end with her aunt, Mrs. George H. Brocken- brough and Mr. Brockenbrough at Kinard. FROM CALIFORNIA Miss Dorothy Clark, of San Francisco, Calif., will arrive Sunday to spend the Christmas season with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J J. Clark and other rela tives. Mrs. J. W. Montgomery has returned to her home in Mebane, N. C., after a few days stay here as the guest of Mr. and Mrs W. M. Hughes and family. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Holland, Mrs. A. C. Whitten and Mrs. James Pitts attended the Festi val of Christmas Music on Sun day in Spartanburg. Among those attending the Fes tival of Christmas Music on Sunday in Spartanburg were Miss Norma Hallett, Mrs. Ay- liffe Jacobs, Mrs. Wilson Harris and Mrs. L. B. Dillard. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Holland spent the week-end in Orange burg with their daughter, Mrs. James T. Smith, Mr. Smith and sons. Friends of the Smiths will be interested to know hey moved yesterday back to Columbia to make their home. MRS. George Blalock, Jr., Wallace Boyd, John Eichelberger and Jimmy Young, who attend Dav idson College, Davidson, N. C., will arrive home tomorrow to spend the holidays with their parents. Duck Adair, first year student at The Citadel, will come on Sat urday to be at home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. 1. M. Adair for Christmas. Whit Mayes, a student at The Citadel, will arrive tomorrow to spend the holidays at Thornwell. Ray, and attended the Christmas dan ces at Presbyterian College. Area Schools Close 20-3 The schools of District 56 will close for the Christmas holidays at noon on Tuesday, December 20. No lunches will be sei*ved on this day. Students will return to the classrooms on Tuesday morning, January 3, to resume the regu lar schedule. She was the wife of Wil liam B Weathers who died two months ago She was a member of Todd Memorial Presbyterian Church. Surviving are six daughters, including Mrs Jesse Bolt of-Clirv- ton two ’ sisters. 32 grandchil dren; an<ft.fouf great-grandchil dren. Funeral services were conduct ed Saturday at 10 00 a m. at the Kennedy Mortuary chapel by Rev Herbert Bailey and Rev. John Waters.
