That was the announcement following last week's victory meeting of officials and workers at Hotel Mary Musgrove when final reports showed paid and pledged contributions of $20,614 The campaign set out to raise $20,560.75 for eleven participat ing agencies. Plaques were awarded to Com munity Chest President Howard Smith and Campaign Chairman T. M. Youngblood. Minuteman awards went to Jim Von Hollen, Rembert Tru- luck, and L. N. Warren. A bronze Dr. Pecry To Speak To Ministerial Group The Clinton Ministerial Associ ation is having as guest speaker for the meeting of December 6. Dr John C. Peery, who will show slides of the work of the church in India and will speak on the topic, “Church Co-opera tion in India.’’ Dr. Peery has spent twenty- ^ine years on the Indian field, working through the Board of Foreign Missions of the United Lutheran Church of America. During his years of service, he has also been in charge of va rious educational and medical institutions, the last of which was a leper colony on the East coast of Central India. Here is a section of the crowd of approximate ly 3,500 employees of Clinton Cotton Mills and their families who were treated to barbecue last Thursday in celebration of the completion Of 2,000,000 man-hours without a disabling ac cident in plant operations. Appreciation to the employees was expressed by Robert M. Vance. president of the mills, and George >1. Hugulev. superintendent.
