Thi> Laurens County Safety Patrol Citizen Band Radio Club is
shown as they held their fourth meeting since formation. The group
If met at the Lamar Smith Youth Center In Laurens and heard David
Taylor, Laurens County Civil Defense Director. The club formed re
cently as a hobby and pastime for those owning “citizen band radios”
and now is attempting to develop into a service unit to offer assistance
in emergencies.
Officers of the group are: Charles M. Coats, Laurens, president;
G. L. Locklear, Clinton, vice-president; Mrs. Locklear, secretary:

Laurens County District 56 Schools
All first grade pupils will be charged an annual fee of $6.00 This fee
will pay for all books and materials used during the year except tablets
and pencils
Students in the special classes will be charged the same fee as the
first grade
SECOND GRADE
All second grade pupils will pay an anual fee of $3.50, which will pay
for all readers, Weekly Reader, and materials such as art, drawing pa
per. mimeograph paper, etc

Charlie Lee Wells, 47. a garage
