Mr. and Mrs. Bill Linder and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Linder, of Whit mire, were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Foster and family on Satur day. Mrs. W. R. Thomas and Mrs. Johnnie Mason were business visi tors in Greenville recently. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Blackwell and sons visited Mrs. R. D. English and family of Whitmire on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Britt and family, of Greenville, were week end visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Croy and family. Mr. and Mrs. Lydie Boone and daughter, of Arcadia, were Sun day afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Elledge and sons. Mrs. A. C. Whitten, Johnny Pra ther and Mrs. C. A. Elledge were visitors in Newberry on Friday aft ernoon. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Starnes and children were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Grover Starnes, of Cross Anchor. Mrs. J. C. Fortner, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Massey and son, Mike, and Miss Emily Fortner were visitors of Mrs. Suzie Hawks and daugh ter, Beatrice, on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Vaughn, of Charleston, visited his father, Ernest Vaughn, during the week end. Little Janice Croy is spending this week with relatives in Green ville. ATTENDS GRADUATION EXERCISES Mrs. Clara Allen, ot Chester, mother of Mrs. Roy Ginn, and Mrs. (Ha Wages, of Joanna, mother of Mrs. Ginn, attended graduation ex ercises at Clinton High Thursday evening in honor of their grand daughter, Phyllis Ginn. wedimnG performed Miss Phyllis Ginn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ginn, of 300 Jef ferson Street, and George Motes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Motes, of Elizabeth Street, were united in marriage Saturday eve ning in the newly purchased home of the couple on Bailey Circle, The wedding was solemnized by the Rev. Thomas Leonard, pastor of Friendship Baptist Church of Eliz abeth Street. The bride was dressed in a white lace dress with a V-neck and blue chiffon veil and cummerbund. Her accessories were white and her cor sage was a lovely orchid Those attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ginn arid daughter, Suzie and son, Ricky, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Motes, Mr. and Mrs., Mike Cannon, Miss Joyce Jones, Miss Shelby Houston, Mrs. Harold Stroud and son. The bride attended Clinton schools and is a graduate of 1960. The groom attended Clinton schools and is presently employed with Clinton Mill. The couple left for a week’s hon eymoon to the mountains of North Carolina. BLUEBIRD MEMBERS, LEAD ERS ENJOY PICNIC Thirty-one members met at the Community Building Thursday aft ernoon. They boarded the Clinton Mill bus and enjoyed a ride out in the country. After the ride they re turned to the Community Building and enjoyed an outdoor picnic, re freshments consisting of Kool-Aid, sandwiches and cookies. Mrs. Eva B Land. Mrs. Harry Foster and Mrs. Richard Foster were present for the occasion. There were several new members present. NOTICE Homecoming day will be held at Friendship Baptist Church on N.
