He entered the hospital two weeks ago and is receiving treatment prior to surgery. Mr and Mrs. Eugene Sheorn and children of Camden, Mr. and Mrs. Billy McCrary of Greenville, visited Mrs. Sheorn's and Mr. McCrary’s mother, Mrs. C. H. McCrary, on Sunday. Hie Billy MCcrary’s also visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Corley. Mrs. Mary E. Youngblood of Co lumbia, is visiting her grandson, T. M. Youngblood, and family this week. Mr. and Mrs. Van Jones and chil dren have moved into the E. W. Ferguson homeplace on Hampton Avenue, which they recently pur chased and remodeled. i Mrs. Everett Carson of Gastonia, N. C., was here on Saturday and her sister. Mrs. John M. Roseboro, accompanied her to Erskine College fo rhte day. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Jones of Albany, N. Y., were recent guests of Mk. and Mrs. W. G. King, enroute borne after a stay in Florida. Harry Phillips of Spartanburg, was also a dinner gust of the Kings during the week. ' - Major General Ansel B. Godfrey returned yesterday from a few days stay at Fort Benning, Go., on Na tional Guard business. Mrs. W. E. Falls, with her moth er, Mrs. Frilda Jones, will return tomorrow from a visit with relatives in Tennessee. Ronald Moore was the week-end guest pf Rev. and Mrs. Sherrill in Clover, going especially to attend the Junior-Senior banquet for Clover High School and the dance which followed at the country club. Mrs. R. M. Fuller and children, Mrs. George Comelson and son will return Friday after spending the week at Paw’ley’s Island. They were accompanied there for the week end by Dr. Fuller and Mr. Cornelson. Lt. Col. Lykes Henderson and son. Lykes, Jr., of .Columbus, Miss, spent last week here with his moth er, Mrs. L. S. Henderson, his sister, Mrs Fuller L. Reese, Jr., and fam ily. They were joined for the week end by Mr and Mrs. Marion Brown and sons of Lexington, N. C. Friends of Mrs. John Griffin Pitts will be glad to know she is able to be up after being ill at her home the past week. Here to visit Mrs. Pitts, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. King during the week were Mrs. 0.
