Melvin Bailey pitched a fine game against Newberry, but failed to get the hit ting and fielding support necessary to win. Kmard Littleton and Judge Vaughn teamed up to pitch Clinton to a 10-2 victory over Union. Lit tleton gave up no hits in 4 innings and Vaughn gave up 2 hits in 3in- nings. He was graduat ed from Furman University and the New Orleans Baptist Theologi cal Seminary. He served as pastor of churches in Louisiana before re turning to South Carolina. The pastor, Rev. James B.
