Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lewis spent the week-end with relatives in Clarkesville, Ga. Friends will be sorry to know of the death of Nolan Wicker’s sister, Mrs. Stella Wicker Kibler, of Bal- lantine. Funeral serviced were con ducted Monday afternoon. , Mr. and Mrs. Thornwell Shoyse I and children, of Whitmire, visited ; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Putnam and Mrs. J. B. Humphrey Sunday. CELEBRATES 11T1I BIRTHDAY Miss Donna Force celebrated her 11th birthday Saturday with a wein- er roast at her home on Magnolia street Twenty of her friends gather ed to tyelp her celebrate the occa sion. A number of outdoor games were enjoyed. The birthday cake was white with pink and blue decorations and can dles Donna's mother. Mrs. Charlie Force, was assisted by Mrs. Fred Putman and Mrs. Lillian Force, grandmother of the honoree, in serv ing cup cakes and iced drinks with hot dogs. A marshmallow roast was enjoyed later in the evening. Donna received many lovely gifts. WORKERS CONFERENCE TO MEET Tho quarterly workers conference and divisional councils of Epworth Methodist Church will meet Satur day evening, April 16, in the edu cational building of the church.
