A number of out-of-town visitors were here for the event which was given at the home of the hostess’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julian S. Bolick on Centennial Street. These included H. G. Tarbox, Jr., of Georgetown, Misses Ann Wood, of Greenville, Becky Holstein, of Ridge Springs, Sara Jeter of Union, all Winthrop students, and also Frank Pace, of Greenville, Jack Smith, of Florence, and Bob Hart, of Greenwood. A buffet refreshment table in the the dining room was beautifully appointed with silver candelabra holding blue tapers encircled with silvered leaves and blue ornaments. Elsewhere in the receiving rooms festive Christmas decorations were used. Turners At Home To Congregation . Tuesday evening, December 22, Dr. and Mrs. W. R. Turner were at home from 7:30 to 9:30 to the congregation of the First Presby terian Church of which he’ is pas tor. The living room and den of the home were lovely in traditional red and green seasonal appointments which include^] candles, poinsettias, cyclamen t and carnations. On December 27 at 4:30 p. m , Miss Frances Lorena Adair, of Florence and Clinton, became the bride of Robert James McCallum, of Clarkton, N. C., in a double ring ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Dr. James S. Gray, pastor of the bride, assisted by the Rev. James Miller, of Clark ton, pastor of the groom, officiated. Miss Adair is the youngest dau ghter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lloyd Adair of this city. Mr. McCallum is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilton McCallum of Clarkton. Usher-groomsmen were Charles Rogers of Clarkton, and Bill Rogers of Wihnington, N. C., nephews of the groom; Frank C. Young of Charleston and Clinton; and Law rence E. Young of this city, both cousins of the bride. Michael Rogers of Elkin, N. C., great-nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer. Aubry Johnston of Shalotte, N. C., was best man. Matron of honor was Mrs. John Lloyd Adair, Jr., si|ster-in-law of the bride, who wore a street length dress of blue-green taffeta trimmed with velvet, matching shoes and headdress. Maid of honor was Miss Anna Rogers, niece of the groom, whose street length dress was of blue-green taffeta with white net overskirt caught up at the hem with blue-green bows and matching shoes and headdress. The junior bridesmaids wore long white taffeta dresses with blue-green sashes and headdress and they were Miss Peg gy Patrick of Mt. Plasant, and Miss Mary Lou Adair of Cross ’ Hill, nieces of the bride. Each attendant carried a long-stemmed red rose. The bride entered the church on the arm of her brother, John Lloyd Adair, Jr. She wore a gown of white satin which she made in a princess pattern, V neckline, and which was trimmed with rosebud embroidery work around the neck and down the center front and back of the dress. Her fingertip veil of imported illusion was attached to a headpiece of seed pearls, net and la<&. She wore small white pearl earrings and a three-strand pearl necklace, a gift of the groom. She carried a white satin-covered Bible centered with white roses. The bride’s mother wow a me dium blue dress trimmed with lace and blue accessories and corsage of red roses. TTie groom’s sister, Mrs. Finley K. Rogers, wore a navy suit trim med in white and navy accessories, and a corsage of vtfute roses. The music was presented by Mrs. J. F. Jacobs, organist, and Miss Julia Gray, soloist, who sang “For You Alone,” and the “Lord’s Pray er.” The reception at the church was given by the bride’s sister, Mrs. William P. Patrick, Jr., of Mt. Pleasant, and the bride’s parents For travel the bride changed to a travel outfit consisting of a navy dress, powder blue coat, navy and white acessories and a white rose corsage. She has been employed with the Frank H. Barnwell Co., real estate and insurance, in Florence since her graduation from Winthrop Col lege with a BS degree in commerce Mr. McCallum is engaged- in farming in Clarkton where the £ou pie will make their home after < short wedding trip. School Party A party was given on Friday, De cember 18, for the Episcopal Nur sery School children. Gifts were exchanged from the brightly Rghte^ tree and a visit from Santa was a feature of the party activities. Refreshments car rying out the holiday motif were served. Junior Girls, Boys Have Holiday Party Mrs. Roy Casque and Jack Hol land entertained the boys and girls of the Junior Sunday school depart ment of Broad Street Methodist Church with a party on Friday af ternoon, December 18, at the Clin ton Mills Community center. Assisting w;re the Rev. Joel E. Cannon, W. C. Baldwin, who led a Christmas devotional, and Cindy HoUis, who accompanied the group at the piano for the singing of car ols. Games appropriate fqr the sea son were played and corsages were presented the girls and gifts to the boys. Wicama Camp Fires Are Entertained A Christmas party was given for the girls of the Wicama Camp Fire group on December 23 at the Camp Fire Hut. Mrs. Marion Nabors is leader and she was assisted at the party by Mrs. A. B. Davidson and Mrs. Mary Roas Martin. Gifts were presented and the girls prepared baskets of fruit, groceries and clothing for a nedy family. Pictures were made of the activities during the evening Refreshments carrying out the seaaonal motif were served. Miss Jackie Short of Chesterfield, former college roommate of the bride, was maid of honor. Brides maids were Mrs. Bobby Jones (Jane Todd) of Greenwood; Misses Bootsie Cunningham, Martha Good win of Laurens, both cousins of the bride; and Mary Ann Neighbors. Jean Lowman and Marie Lowman, cousins of the bride, served as jun ior maids. The attendants wore coral pink street length dresses fashioned with scooped neckline, cap sleeves and full skirts with bustle sash. The maid of honor carried a bouquet of pink roses and rose carnations, and the other maids’ bouquets were of pink and rose carnations. Susan Harrison of Roebuck, cou sin of the groom, who was flower girl, wore pink organdy and carried a basket of rose carnations. The ringbearer, Gerald Davenport, of Kinards, nephew of the groom, car ried a white satin pillow edged in lace. Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s gown of satin and lace, was designed with hand-scalloped lace sabrina neckline outlined in seed pearls, long sleeves and point ed bodice. The full satin skirt had ruffles of lace cascading down the back into a chapel train with motifs of lace embroidered in pearls scat tered over the satin skirt. Her head- dress of all lace over tulle held the fingertip length veil. She carried white cymbidium orchids with shower on a prayer book.
