Mrs. John Teague, a patient in the St. Joseph's Hos pital in Augusta, Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Glenn and family were Sunday visitors of Mrs. J. H. Seay. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gilstiap. MEETS MONDAY The Woman's Society of Chris tian ti an Service will meet Monday evening with Mrs. Frances Meeks at 90 Palmetto St. for their regular meeting and Christmas party. Each member is asked to bring a gift to be exchanged. PINK AND BLUE SHOWER On Friday evening at the Lydia Community Building Mrs. Fred An derson was honored with a pink and blue shower. An evening of games and con test was enjoyed by the large group of friends present. Delicious party refreshments were served by the hostesses, Mrs. Jimmy Richie, Mrs. Roscoe Bryan and Mrs. J. E. Pierce. The honoree was remembered iwith many lovely gifts. MRS. SHOCKLEY HONORED Mrs. David Shockley was hon- | oree at a pink and blue shower at the home of Mrs. Wilma Stone on Friday evening. Baby bingo and other appropriate games were enjoyed. Mrs Stone was assisted by Mrs. Martha Motte in entertaining and in serving party refreshments. Mrs Shockley received many i gifts which were opened and passed. WITH THE SICK Mrs Ray Campbell is recuperat ing at her home following surgery at the St. Frances Hospital in Greenville. Mrs. Wade Pennington is a pa tient at Blalock Clinic Claude Gilftrap, Jr., is ill at his home with flu. Mrs Walter Cato is a medical patient at Blalock Clinic. LYDIA BAPTIST CHURCH NEWS The Woman’s Missionary Society will meet tonight at 7:30 p. ra. at the Community Building for their meeting and Christmas party. A covered dish supper will be en joyed. Gifts of money fur the Lottie Moon Christmas offering will be given instead of exchanging- gifts with each other. All members are urged to be present. The Brotherhood will have Ladies Night Friday evening at 7 o’clock in the Social Hall of the church. Supper will be served after which games and other entertainment will be enjoyed.
