It’s planned as a significant occa sion in the history of the 105-year-old church, opening with a 9:45 a. m. Rally Day and historical play by the Sunday school and closing with pic nic dinner on the church grounds af ter special services of dedication. Some 500 persons are expected to attend, including a number of visit ing former members no longer liv ing in Clinton. Preaching the dedicatory sermon at 11:00 a. m. will be the Rev, John K. Roberts, former Clinton pastor who now serves the First Presbyte rian Church of Danville, Va. Dr. W. Redd Turner, present min ister of the First Church, will lead the litany of dedication. This phase of the program is scheduled to follow the sermon, the congregation moving in a recessional from the unctuary to the recreation room of the new building for the litany The prayer of dedication will be given by Dr. D. It will be held as usual in the Thornwell gymna sium. This year marks the fifth annual staging of the event. It has grown steadily in popularity as more and more people turned it into an oc casion for the entire famliy. Kiwanis President G. Edward Campbell pointed out there will be something of interest for everyone again this year. Bazaar booths will offer a wide range of products at bargain prices, with particular ap peal for women.
