Sanders at the Bap tist Parsonage with only the parents and a few relatives and close friends present. For her wedding Miss Satterfield chose a white street-lenth dress and white accessories. Her corsage was a purple throated orchid. The bride is the youngest daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Mart Satter field. Mr. McKittrick is the son of Mr. and Mrs. McKittrick of Mountville. Following a wedding trip to the mountains of N.C., the young couple will reside with his parents for the present. and passed them around for all to admire. MRS. BLACKWELL HONORED Mrs. Ralph Blackwell was honor ed at a lovely pink and blue shower, held at the Lydia Community Build ing on Friday evening. On arriving Mrs. Blackwell was presented a novelty corsage. Mrs. Bill Fennell, Mrs. Wayne Templeton and Mrs. Frank Moore were hostesses for the ocasion. Delicious refreshments were serv ed by the hostesses after which many lovely gifts were presented to Mrs. Blackwell, who opened them BIRCH MORE • ROMINES RITES On Saturday evening, July 11, 1959 at 7 o’clock, Miss Clara Louise Birchmore daughter of Mr. and Mrs. t Charlie E. Birchmore of 148 Pine St., Lydia Mills became the bride of Mr. Silas Romines, of Clinton. Mr. Romines is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Romines of New Port, Tenn., and Clinton. The Rev. J. R. Bryan, pastor of the Lydia Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated at the wedding, which was held at the parsonage. The bride was dressed in a navy blue sheath dress, with a matching jacket. Her accessories were white. She wore a lily of the valley and pink carnation corsage. The couple was attended by Miss Ruby Birchmore, sister of the bride. She wore a light blue street dress with white accessories. David Turner of Laurens was best man. After a short wedding trip the couple are residing at Apt. 3, 1 Peachtree St.„ Lydia. Mr. Romines is employed at W’hitten Village, near Clinton. GIRLS AT CAMP The Blue Bird and Camp Fire | club members of the Lewa District left Clinton, 8 a.m., July 13, by bus for Camp Buckhorn at Paris Moun tain near Greenville, returning July 18. Miss Nellie Osborne was high in her praise of the following coun selors who accompanied the group and gave of their time and effort to make the week at camp a suc cess; Mrs. H. R. Templetonm, Mrs. Frank Bichmore, Mrs. Bo Brown. Life guards were Gary O’Shields and Roger Whitmire. Miss Osborne, camp director, was assisted by Misses Shirley Dunnaway and Mary Cunningham. Upon arrival at camp and assign ments to cabins, a picnic lunch was enjoyed in the recreational hall. A regular schedule for the week in cluded crafts and ringing. Daily de votions were held during the eve nings before retirement. Frequent rains interrupted the swimming each day, but entertain ment was provided and a piano was rented from Greenville. A highlight of the'week of camp ing was enjoyed by the campers and visitors on Thursday evening. Each girl who had completed the rank of Trail Seeker was honored in a ceremonial in which she received her Trail Seeker charm and beads denoting her accomplishments. to attend all ttie services. The Sunbeams will meet today at 4:30 p.m. at the church. Tonight the Brotherhood will meet at the church at 7:30 p.m. and go to the County Home for a worship service. , All men of the church are invited to attend.
