He was accom panied home by Mrs. Femer and little Nancy Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Lea of Rocky Mount, N. C., spent the week-end here with the latter’s mother, Mrs. C. M. Marshall, Jr. Among Clinton residents vaca tioning this week at Cherry Grove Beach are Dr. and Mrs. Carl Wes- singer and children, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Smith and children, Miss Shirley Singley, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Arnold and daughters. AT CAMP Don Rhame left Friday for six weeks ROTC summer training at Fort Bragg, N. C. Friends of Mrs. Claude Lawson will be glad to know she is able to be out again after an operation ill ness at St. Francis hospital in Greenville and a convalescence at home. AT BEACH Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pitts and son, Henry, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bur nett and children, Chocky and Joan, are vacationing this week at Cres cent Beach. Mrs. W. L. MarshaU of Wades- boro. N. C., joined her granddaugh ter, Mrs. Joe Cutchins and little son, Joey, of Mt. Pleasant, here last week for a few days visit with Mrs. W. L. Marshall, Jr. ' Miss Sallie Anderson of Columbia, and Summerton, was the week-end guest of her nephew, Dr. D. O. Rhame, and Mrs. Rhame. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin H. Ford of A von. Park, Fla., spent last week with her mother, Mrs. Eugene Hitt. They were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hitt in Anderson. VACATION AT BEACH Mr. and Mrs. Don Creighton and son, Jim, are vacationing this week at Surfside Beach. Susie and Frankie Felknor of Camden, spent several days last week with their grandmother, Mrs. Frank Miller. Their parents, Dr. and Mrs. Lollis Hardy, accompan ied them here and attended the meeting of the South Carolina As sociation of Veterinarians at Clem- son. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Bozard, of Boone, N. C., and Mr. and Mrs. Rutledge Adair, of Rock Hill, spent the week-end with Mrs. Bozard’s and Mtrs. Adair’s father, Homer D. Henry. VISIT PARENTS Mrs. George B. Brockenbrough and daughters, Mary Lee and Mil dred, of Vestal, N. Y., will arrive Friday for a visit with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Thornwell Dun lap, and with Mr. Brockenbrough’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Brockenbrough. Mrs H L Eicholbergor aad Mrs. John Cooley were in Anderson on Thursday where they assisted in en tertaining at « seated tea given by Mrs. John Townsend for Mias Elis abeth Townsend. Miss Townsend, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bennett Townsend, was married on Satur day in a home wedding to John Jeffries of Union. GUESTS FROM IOWA Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stouter and children, Janie and Richard, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Muller. Friends of Mrs. Woodrow Ellis will be interested to know she is im proving at Self Memorial hospital, Greenwood, following an operation there last week. Friends of Mrs. Norman Black will be interested to know she is convalescing at the home of her son, Robert F. Black, and Mrs. Black, following eye surgery in Charlotte recently. Mr. and Mks. Julian Bolick and daughter, Dixie, leave tomorrow for a ten-day vacation rtip to New Or leans, La., and to Houston, Tex., where they will visit Mrs. Bolick’s brother, Dr. William Moorhead and Mrs. Moorhead. 4 IN TENNESSEE Miss Barbara Eichelberger left yesterday for a week s stay in Knox ville, Tenn., where she will be the guest of Mrs. James C.
