IMS Mrs. Jack Pitta and young son, Jack Donald, Jr, have returned from Hays hospital. They and Mr. Pitts will be at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bodie for several weeks. Miss Janice Goss attended the Lau rens High School Junior-Senior ban- quel on Friday, May 8. She was the •guest of senior Tony Abercrombie. Mrs. M. L. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Don Shank of Greer, were recent visitors of the formers daughter, Mrs. David R. Coker, and Mr. Cok er. Mrs. Woodrow McLendon and chil dren of Greenwood, Mrs. Gregg Rowe and Gregg, Jr., of Belton, vis ited C. J. Blackwell and Mrs. Vir ginia Wilson recently. Oscar Howell, a patient at the Veterans hospital in Atlanta, Ga., spent the week-end with Mrs. Howell and children and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Howell. Mrs. Izell Campbell and Miss Te resa Worthy visited their sister and mother, Mrs. Margaret Roland, in "Newberry over the week-end. Mrs. Roland continues ill at her home. Whitmire and Mrs. Allen White visited Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lollis on Thursday of last week Mrs. Betty Jo Hulsey of Hodges and Columbia, is a guest of Rev. and Mrs. Roscoe Bryan this week. G. H. Jackson and Boyd Wilkes attended the homecoming of the Mountain View Baptist Church near Chimney Rock, N. C., on Sunday. Mr. Jackson attended church there as a young man. Vacation Bible School will begin at the Lydia Methodist Church Mon day, June 8, and continue through Friday, June 12. Sessions will be held for all age groups starting at 9:00 each morning. DINNER ENJOYED A ITER CHURCH On Sunday morning following the regular worship service at the Ly dia Pentecostal Holiness Church the group adojurned to the church grounds where a picnic dinner was enjoyed Around 75 members at tended. Rev. Roscoe Bryan is pastor of the church. WOMAN’S CLUB TO GO TO ROSE HILL The Lydia Woman’s Club will go to Rose Hill this afternoon for a tour of the mansion and grounds. This will be for the May meeting. All those planning to go must be at the Community Building by 5:00 o’clock as the bus will leave at that time. Everyone is asked to bring a cold drink along with the food assigned them for the picniq supper. MRS. JAMES HONORED The home of Mrs. Jimmy Hairston was the scene of a lovely pink and blue shower on Friday evening for Mrs. Jimmy James. Games under the direction of Mrs. J. B. O’Shields were enjoyed bjr-the 21 guests present. Party refreshments were served by the hostesses, Mrs. Ray Riley, Mrs. Jim Dean, Mrs. Hairston and Mrs. O’Shields.
