Oeland of this city, was a senior attendant to the May Queen in the exercises held Saturday afternoon in the am pitheatre. Mrs. Harold M. Shields has re turned from a two weeks visit to friends in Georgia, where she at tended a number of performances of the Metropolitan Opera Company of New. York in Atlanta. Patterson has been on duty with the United States Navy in Spain since March of this year. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam A. Patterson of 519 Mu&grove street. His wife, the former Miss Ruby Meadors, and small daughter reside with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James C. Adair is in New York this week on a buying trip for the Ladies Ready-To-Wear Shop Little Jimmy Bryant, of Darling ton. spent last week with his grand parents. Mr. and Mrs. Karl John son. The Johnsons had as guests for the week-end Miss Josephine Wiles, of Honea Path, and their son. Prof. Karl Johnson, Jr., of Clemson. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Bryant were also here on Sunday and accompanied their son home. Mrs. H. S. Sease of Gilbert, is spending a few days here with her daughters, Mrs. 0. C. Woodruff and Capt. Elberta N. Sease. D Tommie. Home Ec onomics chairman, had charge of the program. The Grange joined the State and National Grange entering the Singer Sewing contest again this year.
