Mrs. Mary is receiving treatment at Joanna Hospital at this time Mrs. Lorraine Franzen has re turned home after being a patient at the local hospital. Wayne Jacks is convalescing at home after suffering a fractured collar bone on Thursday. William Douglas has returned home following minor surgery at the local hospital. Mrs. Hazel Kennedy is a patient at Joanna Hospital. Mrs. McNeil Trotter received treatment at Joanna Hospital sev eral days last week. Jackie Patterson has been dis missed from the local hospital fol lowing treatment. Mrs. Martha Lesley, of Clinton, is convalescing from an appendectomy at Joanna Hospital. Friends will be interested to know j that Calvin Poag has returned to his home after being a patient at Self Memorial Hospital in Green wood for the past few months. Thirty-four recipients of the $200 scholarships to Winthrop were an nouneod previously. The latest award winners include Elinor Niver of Joanna. NIVER TO HEAD JOANNA LIONS Wadsworth W. Niver, Jr., has been named new president of Jo anna Lions Club. Also chosen to serve were L. R. Thompson, first vice president; Walt Byars, third vice president; Wendell W.
