H. Hall was hostess to members oi the Actaean Chib and several adlitional guests for lunch eon on Friday. Guests met at the Douglas House on the Presbyterian College campus for an informal social visit before going to the dining hall where lunch eon was served. Places were laid for fifteen at the luncheon table decorat ed with bouquets of daffodils, snow drops and camellias. Guests in addition to club mem bers were: Mrs. Marsall Brown, Mrs. Geo. Bdlingrath, Mrs. James Oeland and Mrs. W. R. Turner Davises Are Hosts To Bridge Club On Tuesday evening of the past week Dr. and Mrs. Julson A. Davis entertained members of their bridge club. Gladioli and daffodils made a pretty setting for the three tables appointed for a deSsert course. A number of progressions were enjoy ed during the evening with top score being made by Mr. and Mrs. George Cornelson, who were club visitors. Townsend was the guest speaker for the general meet ing of the Clinton Garden Clubs held on Monday afternoon at the First Baptist Church Mrs. Gary Holcombe, council president, and Mrs. A.
