Bim Willard has rKurned to Shaw Field in Sumter following his attendance at an Airman's Confer ence in Oklahoma City. OUa. He enjoyed a weeks stay with his brother S P|4 Billy Willard at Fort Sill, Okla Billy accompanied his brother back to Oklahoma City on his return flight home. Bim and Billy are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Willard. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Kelly and children of Gaffney were Sunday guests of his mother Mrs. Ike Jones and Mr. Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Jones returned to Gaffney with the Kelly’s for a few days visit. A1 Williams, sophomore at The Citadel in Charleston, is spending the spring holidays with his parents Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Huffstetler and Sandy spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs C. E. Huff stetler in Newberry. Friends sympathize with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Riddle in the death of his brother, Luther Riddle, in Whit mire on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. James Seay and Mike of Greenville spent Sunday with his mother, Mrs. J. H Seay and stater, Miss Ferotine Seay. Pierce of Lydia, well-known evangelist, will be the speaker. There will be special sing ing at the services each evening. The Ordinance of The Lord's Supper will be observed Sunday at the 11 o’clock service. Rev. W. J. Lesley is pastor of the church. Saturday at 2 ^ M there will be an egg hunt for aH young people of the* church WEDDING ANNOUNCED Mr and Mrs Claude Willard announce the marriage of their daughter, Linda Lou, to Charles Maxie Davis, son of Mr. and Mm. They are making their home with the bride’s parents for the present WOMAN’S CLUB HAS * MARCH MEETING Thursday evening the Lydia Woman’s Club met for their March meeting held at the Community Building. The meeting was preseded over by the president, Mrs. R E Whit mire. The devotional was given by Mrs. Clyde Trammell. The club voted to entertain the sixth grade of Providence School at the closing of school in May. Mrs David Word introduced the evening guest, Mrs. W W. Adams, who gave a very interesting discus sion on the varieties of. and planting of shrubery. The hostesses, Mrs. Ralph Riddle and Mrs. D. H. Roberts, served cake squares decorated with little nests of candy easter eggs, ambro sia, and coffee.
