Mrs. Laura Kirby, Mr and Mrs. John Kirby of Charlotte, N. C., Mr. and Mrs. Royce Smith of near Laurens, were Sunday guests of Mrs. J. H. Seay. , Mrs. E. W. Mitchell spent several days in Columbus, Miss., last week, being called there due to the serious illness of her mother, Mrs. E. S. Watson. Joe Lark returned to Clemson College yesterday following a va cation at home between semesters. VISIT IN NORTH CAROLINA Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Reece and children spent Sunday in Caroleen, N. C., with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ray, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Carver. A2C Jimmy O'Shields received his discharge January 16 from Tra vis AFB, Calif., following a year spent in Korea. He and Mrs. O’Shields and son, Mike, arrived here last week and will be with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. O’Shiekte, for the present. Mrs. O’Shields and son resided with her parents in Blytheville, Ark., while her husband was in Korea. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Sauls and children, Linda and Jeff, and Jo seph Sauls of Goldsboro, N. C., were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. I. N. Pierce recently. Mrs. A. M. Shumate, Sr., Mrs. Louise Broome and children of Camden, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fennell and other relatives. Ray Riley, FA, of Jacksonville, Fla., spent the week-end with Mrs. Hiley and other relatives. Mrs. Bessie Bcshop has returned liome after visiting her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Eubanks, and Mr. Eubanks in New Bern, N. C., and her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Hobert Sellers in Orange burg. She attended the funeral ser vices of her great grandson, little Bobby Richie. Jr., while in New Bern Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy South and children spent the week-end with relatives in Whitmire Mrs. South and chikfren remained for a longer viat. Mr and Mrs J. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Cooper and children were week-end guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Cooper and Mrs. George Wade in Great Falls. Ralph Harbin of Greenville, vis ited Mr. and Mrs. Quinton Jones and other friends on Friday eve ning. Hair ston. Prize Directors—T. D. Douglas and Bill Nelson Special projects for the year will be the sponsoring of the Lydia Cub Scouts and to buy baseball uniforms for the Small Fry team at Lydia. To be eligible to register fish for, prizes a person must be a member! by February 15 or thereafter for two weeks before registering one The fishing contest will be from February L5 to November 2, with all fish to be registered at the watchman's office.
