Refreshments will be served by members of the Woman’s Club PTA JANUARY MEETING The Providence School PTA met January 19 with the president, Glenn Gaskins, presiding. During the business session a new vice-president, Mrs. H. R. Camp bell, was elected. Reports from the secretary and treasurer were beard. A set of encyclopedias has been bought for the school. It was voted to buy a rubber stamp to use in stamping notice of PTA meetings on the children's hands. It was announced that an eye clinic will be held son at the school. Following the business Mrs. A. M. Shumate, Jr, introduced Miss Nel lie Osborne who gave a very inter esting talk on •‘Things for a Better Community.” The next meeting will be held February 16. All parents of Providence pupils are invited to attend these meetings in the interest of their children. PARTY HONORS MRS.
