The home of Mr. and Mrs. Wal lace in Pitts Meadors was beauti fully decorated for the occasion. White pom-poms adorned the room where the gifts were displayed. In the dining room, where re freshments were served in buffet style, a yellow and white color note was effectively carried out. Net overlaid the white linen cover and on one end of the table bows of yel low satin ribbon accented the base of the arrangement of ydlow glad ioli and pom poms. Ribbon extend ed across the table to the opposite end where white lighted tapers dec orated' with tiny yellow ribbon burned in crystal holders. Mrs. Charles Hughes presided over the refreshment table and Mrs Floyd Coates served punch. Landscaping Lawns Topic For Meeting Mrs. W. G. King and Mrs. Arnold M. Cannon jointly entertained mem bers for the January meeting of the Yellow Jasmine Garden Club on Monday afternoon at the King home. Mrs. William Johnson was pro gram chairman and members brought pictures of their homes and lawns to be shown for suggestions, criticisms, and discussion, in con nection with a study on landscaping lawns Guests were invited into the din ing room for refreshments of sand wiches, assorted dainties and sweets. Henry of Marietta, Ga., are visiting the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed ward Henry. Robert S. Henry, who has recently completed a three- year tour of duty with the Air Force in El Paso, Texas, is now a student at Georgia Tech. On Saturday the Henrys were all luncheon guests of Mrs. Edward Henry's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Spann, and din ner guests of another brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Spann in Greenville. Guests of the Edward Henrys here on Sunday included Mrs. Hen ry’s mother, Mrs. L. D. Spann, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Spann of Greenville; Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Spann and son, Trent, of Columbia; and Jerry Spann of Greenville, student at the University of South Carolina. Sun Bonnet Club Meets With Mrs. Bellingrath Mrs. George Bellingrath was hos tess to the Sun Bonnet Garden Club on Monday afternoon at her home. A short business session was pre sided over by Mrs. L. Two tables were appointed for re freshments and coffee was served with ice cream, fruit cake and as sorted sweets. For the progressions which followed Mrs. Dillard Milam, Jr., was high scorer. Berries with greenery and a fruit arrangement decorated the living and dining rooms. Carolina Wren Club Studies S. C. Gardens An interesting discussion of gar dens of South Carolina was given by Miss Margaret Blakely for the meeting of the Carolina Wren Gar den Club on Monday afternoon. Mrs. Irene Pkls and Mrs. Guy Tumblin were co-hostesses at at the Pitts home. Another feature of the program was the showing of the polio film, by Ellis Huffstetler in connection with the March of Dimes fund rais ing campaign. Orders were taken for dogwood and crepe nxyrtle trees.
