B. Sloan*was hostess to Circle No. 1 of the Woman-’s Mis sionary Society of the Associate Re formed Presbyterian Church on Monday afternoon at her home. Mrs. Blakely Tribble had ar ranged the program entitled “The Challenge of Today—New Doors at Dunlap,” with Mrs. Irene Todd, Miss Nannie Young Tribble and Mrs. R. L. Plaxico taking part. Re freshments were served at the con clusion of the program. Circle No. 2 met at the summer cottage of Mrs. C. Bynum Betts, Bon darken, N. C., on Tuesday af ternoon. A number of members were at Bon darken and others motored up for the meeting. Mrs. L. M. Wilson, leader, gave the devotional, after which she in troduced Mrs. William Hethcox, wife of the superintendent at Dun lap Orphanage. Mrs. Hethcox gave an interesting talk on the institu tion. * Later Mrs. Betts served salad and sweet courses with punch.
