Claude Parrish has returned home after an operation illness at General hospital in Greenville. Mrs. Lillie Bell Miller is visiting Mrs. Rosa Cole in Clinton. Watch Night Service Planned On December 31 there will be. a New Years Eve Watch Night ser vice at the Lydia'^Baptist Church beginning at 8 o’clock and ending after midnight. This service is for all ages in the Baptist church and any others who would like to attend. During the evening there will be games, films, refreshments and an inspirational period. Remember the date, New Years Eve, December 31. WMS Parties The Woman’s Missionary Society of the Lydia Baptist Church enjoy ed Christmas parties last - Thurs day evening. The Omathine Dabbs and Martha Franks circles met in the social hall of the church. ^ After a covered dish supper the group exchanged Christmas gifts from the tree. -> Piquant Pastries For Parties .... ... The Kathleen Walker circle held a Christmas party at the home of Mrs. Clyde Trammell. A buffet supper was served from the table which was lovely with the red cloth and an arrangement of 'Freddie’s grandparents, white and red painted magnolia leaves with burning tapers on either side. The living room of the home was also decorated for the Christmas season. Gifts were exchanged from the white table tree and carols were sung, with Miss Cecilia McLendon at the piano. The husbands were guests for the party. Junior Girls’ Auxiliary Party Tuesday afternoon the Junior GA’s of the Lydia Baptist Church enjoyed a Christmas party at the church. Twelve young girls enjoyed an afternoon of games appropriate to the Christmas season. Refreshments of cookies, candy and hot chocolate Were served by Mrs. Clyde Trammell and Mrs E C. Add Tabasco to water called for in package directions. Stir into mixture with a fork. Form into ball. Roll out 1/16-inch thick on lightly floured board or pastry doth. Miss Sattorfidd Celebrates Birthday Mis Melda Satterfield celebrated her twelfth birthday with a party at her home on Saturday afternoon. Nine young girls were present to help Melda celebrate. A covered dish supper was en joyed by a large group of ladies. All-Day Party Friday The annual all-day Christmas party for the Lydia Mills employees and their families will be held Fri day (tomorrow) from 8:00 a m. to 6:00 p. m. in the Providence school lunch room. Each employee has been given invitation cards for themselves and their dependents which must be presented to receive the well filled Christmas fruit and candy bags. Santa Claus will be there so all the kiddies, young and old can tell him their wishes for Christmas Refreshments of coffee, %unch, cookies, candy and popcorn will be served throughout the day. The lunch room is beautifully decorated for the occasion. Every one bring your own card for fruit bags if possible and enjoy the fel lowship together during this hap py season of thd year. The president and other manage ment of the mills wish you a happy day.
