Laurens, leading the music services- Scrvices will be held each evening at 7.: 30 and two morning services at 10:30 Tuesday and Thursday. Mil,HI (c Tickets On Sale For Methodist Turkey Supper Tickets are on sale for the tur key supper to bo served by the women of Broad Street Methodist Church in conection with the bazaar The supper will be served on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m., and tickets must be pur chased in advance by November 18 since the committee will need to know the number for which to pre pare. Tickets may be obtained at Howard's Pharmacy, Sadler-Owens Pharmacy, Young’s Pharmacy, Ru by’s Beauty Shoppe or-from any member of the church. “ Anyone needing additional tickets may con tact Miss Rebecca Speake, ticket chairman. The bazaar opens at 3 o'clock Monday and will also continue Tuesday, the 26th, from 9:00 a. m. until 5:00 p. m -L Special features of the bazaar are the Christmas gift booths. Mrs. James E. Wolfe is chairman of the children's booth which will contain stuffed animals, soft dolls, and oth er toys. The adult gift booth is in charge of Mrs. James Buzhardt and will feature a wide Variety of articles A separate doll booth with many items of clothing is also be ing planned. The bazaar is being given by the women of the church to raise funds to equip the kitchen for the new building now underway. The Midget Football program ended last week with Joanna losing to Whitmire 7-6, and winning from Hampton Avenue 27-0. The game will be I played on the Whitmire field on the I night of November 14 or 15. One squad of boys will be com posed of boys from Whitmire, Thornwell, and Lydia. This group will be coached by Richard Du- Bose, Bill Sullivan and Ellis Huff- stetler. The other squad will con sist of boys from Joanna, Hampton Avenue and Academy Street. This squad will be coached by Johnny Moore, Blair Norris, and Chuck Leatherwood. In the re-play game between Joanna and Whitmire, Joanna had the only touchdown scored all sea son scored against them by Whit mire, and as a result lost the cham pionship to Whitmire 7-6.
