He re met at the home of their counselor, Marion Turner, on Gordon Street Tuesday evening with 14 members present. A missions study course, “Tales From Ire,” was completed. Refreshments were served and outdoor games were enjoyed also. Friday: Miss Newman And Earl Todd Married September 14 Bessie Mary Newman became the bride of Henry Earl Todd on Sat urday, September 14, at 3 -o'clock. The wedding took place in Rutland Memorial Chapel in the Georgia Baptist Hospital, Atlanta. Dr. E. A. Verdery, chaplain, solemnized the marriage by candle light. Miss Newman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Albert New man, of Thompson. Mr. Todd is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Haskell Todd, of Clinfon. The wedding music was given by Rev. Quinn Pugh, of Atlanta, ac companied by Mrs. E. A. Verdery, organist. Best man was Mr. Donald Cone, of MariettaTT Ushers were Wil liam Authnan, Clinton, and Ron ald Smith, Griffin. Miss Melba McGahee, of Atlanta served as maid of honor, wearing a waltz length gown of delphinium blue crystallette over taffeta. She wore harmonizing accessories and carried a white mum bouquet. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown designed with a fitted bodice of Chantilly lace and a bouffant ankle length skirt of lace and tulle over satin. Her veil of French illusion was caught to a tiara of seed pearls, and she car ried a Bible inlaid with mother , of pearl topped with "an orchid spray. Mrs. Newman, mother of the bride, wore a brown linen dress with matching accessories and a white carnation corsage. Mrs. Todd, mother of the groom, wore a blue lace and silk shantung dress, a white hat and matching ac cessories and a white carnation cor sage. _ The reception was in the hospital library. Assisting in serving were Mr^. Fred Lovell of Atlanta and MiSs Eleanor Hutchinsbn of Pem broke. The bride’s book was kept by Miss Norma Norris of Lake Ciiy, Fla. ■ . The couple traveled to the moun tains of East. Tennessee for their wedding trip and are making their home in Atlanta. ' Mrs. Todd graduated from Thom as High School and completed three years nurses ’training at Georgia Baptist Hospital. Mr Todd is a 1953 graduate of Clinton High School and a senior at Georgia Tech.
