W. Shealy, in Columbia' a few days last week. Capt. and 'Mrs. L. J. McCarthy and children and Mrs. W. A. Johnson are spending the week at Pawley’s Island. Dr. Newton B. Jones, a reserve corps major, has returned from two weeks summer camp at Camp Gordon, Augusta, Ga. George Clark, a member of the Presbyterian College faculty in the history department, has gone to Chapel Hill, N. C., where he will spend the remainder of the summer doing work toward a doctor’s degree. Mr. and Mrs. Clark and daughter, Peggy, re side on Hickory street. Capt .and Mrs. Robert McLees and sons, Zack and Mike, of Ar lington, Va., are spending the week with the former’s mother, Mrs. R. C. McLees, and aunt, Miss Sal he Wright. Bunky Blalock, Johnny John- aon, Darrell Qrr, and Tyler Payne leave Friday for a month’s stay at Camp Pinnacle, near Hender- eonville, N. C. (Mr. and Mrs. J. Robert Cox and daughters are vacationing at Myr- ' tie Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Bowman and children, of Wamer-Robins, Ga., were guests of Mrs. Bow man’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Loft is, the past week-end. They were enroute home after a week’s visit to Mr. and Mrs. Bill -McMur- ray at their home near Fort Mill. Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Denson and daughters, Donna and Sidney Ann, have returned to their home in Baltimore, Md., after a ten- day visit with the former's moth er, Mrs, W. S. Denson. Mr. Den son, a captain in the reserve corps, has just completed a two weeks summer training camp visiting their daughter and son in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Tink ler in Cliffside, N. C. Mrs. M. Cassanova, with Mrs. Frank Bailey and daughter, Con nie, of Greenville, spent last week with the former’s sisters, Mrs. A. C. Jones, in Warwick, Va., and Mrs. Vester McKee, in Dunn, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. W. H .Staton and daughters, Shirley and Dorothy, spent the week-end at Myrtle Beach. Walter A. Johnson is visiting relatives in Milwaukee, Wis. Gene and Jimmy Counts, of Prosperity, are guests this week of their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Amick. Miss Hilda League, of Green ville, N. C., was the recent week end guest of Miss Nannette Lof- tis. Miss League and Miss Loftis were roommates at Mars Hill Col lege the past year. Mrs. Wilson Harris visited rela tives, in Dillon and Red Springs, N. C., during the week-end and attended the wedding of her nephew, Walter Taylor, and Miss Joan Graham in Loris on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Cassanova and children, Bobby and Delores, of Columbia, spent the week end with Mrs. M. Cassanova and other relatives. Susan and Rut ledge Jacks accompanied them home to spend the week. Friends of Perry M. Moore will be interested to know he left Tuesday to enter the Veterans hospital, Columbia, for treatment. Mrs. Eddie Courts and son, Tim, of Plainviile, Mass., will arrive todqy for a few days visit here with Prof, and Mrs. John Glover and other friends and relatives. Mrs. Courts was formerly Miss Caroline Martin, of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Ehrhardt and son, Mike, fojtmerly of Deca tur, Ga., are now residing in the former Willard Jones home on 5th Avenue. Mr. Ehrhardt is on the coaching staff at Presbyterian col lege. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Holcombe and son, Brent, spent several days last week at St. Augustine and Silver Springs, Fla. Mrs. Francis Donahue and son, Daniel ,of Accokeek, Md., are guests of her aunt, Mrs. John Spratt, and Mr. Spratt. Mrs. Don ahue is the foimer Miss Frances James, of Atlanta. children, Mr. and Mrs. John Watts Davis and son, have returned from a week’s stay at the King cottage at Lake Greenwood Mr. and Mrs. W. S.
