Mrs. Bow man is on the nursing staff at the base and Mr. Bowman is master mechanic there. Mrs. A. M. Brown / and son, Toni, Mrs. Lester McCarter, of High Point, N. C., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Tom Carter and other relatives here. ^ Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Ellison were called to Greenville during the week because of the death of the former’s aunt, Mrs. J. A. Skelton, there on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Loftis and Miss Nannette Loftis attended the homecoming at Mallow Creek Church, Campobello, Sunday. Mrs. Lee Hunter has returned from a visit with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Hipp, in Abbeville. . Mr. and Mrs. S. Y. Mr .and Mrs. Dennis Sowers spent the week-end at their cot tage at Bat Cave, N. C. Mrs. C. E. King and daughters, Carol and Susan, have returned to their home in Moultrie, Ga., fol lowing a several weeks visit with her mother, Mrs. W. C. Baldwin, and other relatives. Mr. King, who has been on a business trip to California, was here during the week-end and accompanied them home. Funeral Services For Duvall Weathers Held On Saturday Laurens, June 22—‘Funeral ser vices for Victor Duvall Weathers, 40, were conducted Saturday at 4:00 p. m. at Kennedy Mortuary by the Rev. William P. McKinnon and the Rev. Chalmers McCutch- en. Burial was in Laurens City cemetery. Mr. Weathers was killed in-, stantly Monday afetrnoon in a head-on collision near Kingman, Arizona. He was a step-son of Mrs. Jqg Weathers Bolt, of Simpsonville, and the late Victor Weathers, of Liurens. Besides his step-moth er he is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. W. A. Robinson, of Green- ville. Pallbearers were Henry Fans, Wesley Taylor, Tom McDowell, Harry Williams, Billy Walker, and John H. Mahon. Honorable escort consisted of the deacons of the First Presbyte rian Church, R. F.
