W. D. Sizemore is improving in Greenville General Hospital. Mrs. Daisy Powers Laurens, June 14—Mrs Daisy Bums Powers. 73, died early Fri day afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T._G. Pearson at 514 Church St. She had been in declining health for several years. A native and lifelong resident of Laurens County, she was the daughter of the late W. I. and Laura Ann Fowler Bums. She wai a member of Lucas Avenue Bap tist Church Surviving also are one other daughter, Mrs Boyd Robertson, of Woodruff; three sons, Clarence Lee Powers, of Dallas, N. C.: Al len Thomas Powers, of Clinton. and Alvin D. Powers, of Laurens; one brother, Fowler Burns, of Laurdns; three sisters, Mrs. Al^ha Powers, Mj-s Ida Riddle and Mrs. Margie Owens, all of Laurens; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren Funeral services were conduct ed Sunday at 4 p m at Lucas Avenue Baptist Church by th ■ Kev Alvin Boone and the Rev.
