The houfs are from 3:30 to 7:30 and a small admission will be charged. Everyone, whether member of: eac h. Bulbs a garden club or not. is invited to Tubers, exhibit except ip)classes 7B and; 8 which are by invitation only. The schedule follows: Division No. 1—Arrangements^.. Class 1 The Queen — An alP j white arrangement or composi-! tion in a white container. C'lass 2. The King — An all green arrangement or composi tion using shades of green. Class 3. Crown Bearers — An arrangement or composition in a brass container. Class 4 Train Bearer—A small arrangement not to exceed 8 inches over all. Class 5. Attendants—A line ar- iris—according to variety and color. Section A—Anuuals Class 1. Single and doubles— one bloom or spray each. Section B—Perennials Class 2. Any type—1 bloom Corms, Rhizomes, Class 3.Any type—1 bloom each Section C—Roses Class 4. Hybrid Tea—1 bloom. Class 5. Other type of rose— bloom ot cluster. Section D—Potted plants Class 6. Geraniums Class 7. African Violets Class 8. Ferns Class 9. Any potted plant not listed. Section E—Miscellaneous Class 10. Any worthy exhibit not provided for in other horti culture classes. Miss Marshall, a graduate of St. Catherine's School in Richmond, Ya. ,is the daughter of Mrs. W. L. Marshall.. Jr., of this- city. She is a sophomore at Sweet Briar. The Little Boys League base ball schedule gets underway Monday afternoon at the Little Boys park adjacent to the Pres byterian College campus. The teams have been at work for almost three weeks in prac tice sessions and are anxious to begin the year’s competition. The opening game Monday at 4:30 will find last year’s league champions, the Florida Street Lions, meeting the *trong Acade my Street Moose club, second place contenders last year. Tuesday’s game will pit the Thornwell Kiwanis outfit against Joanna. Wednesday, the Lydia Ex change team will meet Florida Street. Friday will see a double-head er, starting at 6:00 p. m. Thorn- well’s Kiwanians will face the Lydia Exchangeites to start things off, and the,Academy Moose will take on Joanna in the final stanza. Bill Creates Sardis ' Cemetery Association —^_ An act creating the Sardis Cem- etary Association has (passed the House of Representatives and was before the Senate when the Gen eral Assembly reconvened Tues day, Representative William C. Dobbins said Monday. It was ex pected that the bill would be placed on the Senate calendar this week unless held up by reference to a committee, he said. The bill would make the asso ciation a corporate body, which Would receive and disburse funds for maintenance and development of Sardis Cemetery, near Clinton on the Whitmire highway. Mrs. Willis Passes Saturday In Hospital Mrs. Bertie Reece Willis, 65, wife of Jesse Wilis, died early Saturday morning at the Green ville General hospital in Green ville after several months of de clining health. She was a native of Tennesse but had spent most of her life in Laurens county. She was a daughter of the late I. H. and Josie Roberts Reece. Clinton Seaman On Eisenhower Cruise PC Summer School To Start On June 11 Summer school at Presbyterian College will open on June 11 this year. Academic Dean George C. Bellingrath announced today. ' The eight-week session will ex tend through August. 10, with a total of 23 courses in ten depart- ments offered for maximum cred it of nine hours. These depart ments are: Bible, Economics, Psy chology, English, Fine Arts, Spanish, History, Mathematics Sociology and Biology. Methodist Women To Meet In Abbeville Miss Sallie Lou McKinnon, of Nashville, Tenn., wull be the speaker at the Greenwood Dis trict annual meeting of the Wom an's Society of Christian Service of the Methodist church at the Main Street Methodist church in Abbeville on April 30.
