Wingard who played for ar\ absent member. r Dessert Bridge For Club Members A dessert bridge was given on Thursday afternoon of the past week by Mrs. James A Macdon- ald for members of her card club at her home on the Jacobs High way. Throe tables were arranged for refreshments in a setting of mixed flowers of the early spring season. Guest prize went to Mrs. Rufus Sadler and blue award to Mrs. Reese H. Young following the pro gressions. Joint Hostesses For "Odds-Ends' Club Mrs. Roy Gasque and Miss Lily Yarborough jointly entertained members of the “Odds and Ends” Book club on Wednesday after noon of the past week at the Gasque home on Maple street. Books were exchanged and ca nasta played during the after noon. Later the hostesses served a salad plate and tea. Decorating the hostess’ home for the occasion was an arrange ment of calla lilies, with other mixed bouquets of iris and daffo dils. At the conclusion of the pro gram a social hour was enjoyed, during which a salad plate with coffee and cake was served.
