A number of parents visited the display during the day. The judges, R. A. Martin and Mr. Blakely, of the senior high school faculty, have announced the following exhibit ratings: In the field of chemistry: 1st place, crystals, Bill Wilson, (8th grade); 2nd place, processes of cotton cloth, Julia Blackwell, Julia McKee, Betty and Cecilia McLendon (8th); 3rd, weather dolls, Murray Addison and Mar jorie Arnold, (6th). In geology: 1st place, rock col lection, Joey and Jack Powell (7th); 2nd, volcano, David Pitts (7th); 3rd, rock collection, Fur man Campbell (8th). In biology: 1st place, develop ment of the shrimp, Cecilia Mc Lendon (8th); 2nd, drawings of ber (7th): 3rd, diagam of the hu man eye, Alice Jane Grant (7th). In electicity: 1st, electic map, Jackie Jackson and Maxie Davis (8th); 2nd, telegaph, Tommy Bown (8th); 3rd, combination tel egraph electro-magnet lift, Rod- 1 Schools, respectively. They won six “excellent” ribbons for which they received several useful gifts.
