Bailey—Ac cording to the annual report of the County Breeding Association approximately one-third of all dairy cattle in the county were bred artificially in 1956. The as sociation bred more cattle in De cember than in any month in the seven-year period of its opera being sold to local dairymen and many outside of the county. This is providing additional income to many low-income farm families. Saluda, W. H. Craven, Jr.— Plans have been made for coordi- nating the work of the various Granges in the county in com munity development work. Sev en Granges are functioning ih the county and local extension work ers will work with these Granges in promoting an educational pro-1 gram in rural development where, appropriate. The Higgins Grange, fourth place winner in the Na-, tional Grange Community Ser vice Contest in 1956, will assist the local agents in this work. j Subscribe to THE CHRONICLE Phono 74 666 SYMPTOMS AT ONS TTMl— IN LESS TlWil ITS THfi PROVEN COLDS MEPlCINt HELP WANTED FOR RENT I TIL TOL LI RE 1 Lb.
