Roy Pitts spent Thurs day of the past week in Camden with her daughter, Mrs. Robert J. Grube, and Dr. Grube. Mrs. Anne B. Stroud has ac cepted a position in the office of Tench P. Owens, attorney. Friends of Mrs. Mildred Gar rison will regret to know she is very ill at the Columbia hospital, Columbia, where she is a patient in room 202 Her daughter, Mrs. Bee Frith, is visiting her son, Don Frith, and family to be in Colum bia with her. Mrs Paul T. Wood is visiting her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Reasonover and her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Paul A. Wood, in Cam den. Mr. and Mrs. Reasonover were guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Pitts and were ac companied home by Mrs. Wood. Mrs. Homer ..Todd and Mrs. Mayme Todd attended the fun eral of T. T. Todd in Fountain Inn Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Hirry Rundo, dl Rockaway Beach, , N. Y., are spending several weeks with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul A. Rundo. Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Turner were guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. White in Mt. Holly, N. C., during the week-end Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pitts and children, of Greensboro, N. C., spent the week-end with the for mer’s mother, Mrs. W. Roy Pitts, doming especially for the wed ding of his brother. Friends of Rev. Clyde L. Ire land will be interested to know he left Tuesday to assume his po sition as youth consultant for the Episcopal Diocese of Upper Soufh Carolina in Columbia. Mrs. Ire land will be here until the first of March. Mr. Ireland will con tinue to serve All Saints Mission here through February. Mrs. T. L. Elder 3rd, and son, Tommy, of Orlando, Fla., are spending some time with Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Elder Jr. Mrs. C. H. McCrary, Mrs. Louie Thornley and Robert McCrary were guests during the week of the former’s daughter, Mrs. Eu gene Sheom. and Mr. Sheom in Camden. Mrs. Elizabeth N. Sullivan re turned yesterday to her home in Columbia following a visit with her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. E. N. Sullivan. Mark Sullivan, of Kershaw, was an overnight guest of the Sullivans Saturday. Mrs. W. B. Tribble left Tuesday to spend a few days in Atlanta, Ga., wfith her daughter and'son- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Cemy. Mrs. C: H. McCrary, Mrs. Louie Thornley and William McCrary were in Sumter Tuesday to see Lt. Col Ryan McCrary who is ill and a patient at the Air Base hos pital there. Mr. and Mrs. John M. Roseboro were woek-end guests of the lat ter’s sister, Mrs. Everette Carson, and Mr. Carson in Gastonia, N. C. Miss Margaret Dick, of Raleigh, N C., a student at Converse col lege, Spartanburg, was the week end guest of Mrs. J. Lee Young. Mrs. Wilson Harris attended the meeting,and luncheon of the Northern Piedmont Branch of the Ntaional League of Pen Women held recently in Greenville. Mrs. M. Cassanova is visiting Mrs. W. H. Brown, other friends and relatives in Columbia Friends of Mrs. Ethel R Pitts will be interested to know she moved last week into her recently completed home on Shands street extension. Taylor, Jr., ac companied by friends from Spar tanburg and Laurens, was the week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. Derrill McMillan in Charleston and attended the annual inspec tion meeting of the Eastern Star Post 56 there on Saturday eve ning.
