Mrs. Lewis Pitts, secretary of missionary education, led the pro- graon on "A Closer Look at Broad Street.” which was a conclusion of the study entitled “Mission, U. S. A.” Special guests included the pastor, Rev". George H, Hodges, the church school superintendent, J. W. Abrams; two children’s 1 workers, Mrs. Allen Simmons and Mrs. Roy Gasque, and a youth representative; Miss Sara Pitts. They gave reports on many varied areas of service throughout the church. Mrs.. Pitts used for a devotional “A Litany For Americans” based on the 33rd Psalm. During the bus iness session several oflicers gave repOTts of progress. ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED •Miss Lucille Smith, chairman, had charge of the program on ‘"Let’s Talk ^About Formosa.’’ and the Bible study on thij 1 Lord’s Prayer was conducted by Mrs. Floise Hinds. Prayer was offered by Miss Ju lia Kennedy during the morning. Hodges officiated at the double ring cere mony. Lohengrin’s Wedding March was.played softly during the cere mony. The bride wore a sheath dress \ . 0 . - j 1 of imported cotton paneled with Alencon’ lace. Her hat was a circ let of pale pink flowers trimmed with a thatching veil. She carried a cluster of pink orchids on a white prayer book. A reception was given at the home .before the couple left for a wedding, trip.
