Mrs. Tom Norris, hostess, serv ed chocolate cake and coffee. ‘Ora R. Shepard Ora R. Shepard, 51, was burned to death at. an early hour Monday morning. He was a native of ‘Macon county, N. C., but had made his home in Clinton for a number of years. He was a son ol the late Henry B. and Ella Leatherman Shepard- He at tended the Church of God on Elizabeth Street. He was married twice, From his first marriage, to the former Pearl Sykes, two sons survive, Charles Shepard, of the U. S. Army in New York, and Luther Shepard, of Clinton. He is also survived by his second wife, the former Ethel King Summers, ana one brother, William J. Shepard, of this city. Funeral services were conduct ed Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Church of God on Elizabeth Street by the Rev. C- E. I^andreth. Burial was in Cal vary cemetery, Clinton Mills. Pallbearers were Ray Godfrey, W. D. Holbert, William Lyda, Milford Wright. Bobby Lewis and Bill Campbell.
