Town of Clinton are due and collectable’ from October
15th to December 31st for the year 1956, The tax books
are now open at the office of the Town Clerk and Treas
urer and will remain open up to .and'through Decem-

said taxes are not paid on or before January 1, 1957.
The levy for current fiscal year is 53 mills: 26 mills

Mrs„ Harold Cauble honored

Thursday, who was celebrating
tier fifth birthday. Fifteen little
friends gathered and enjoyed
several games, then were invited
into the dining room where the
hostess served refreshments and
presented favors. Each guest re
membered Margaret with a gift.

Mrs. Mamie Estes Passes
Union, Nov. 15—Mrs. Mamie
Lawson Estes, 68, of Clinton, died
at the home of her sister, Mrs.
Emma Lawson, Buffalo Rt. 1,
Thursday after a sudden illness.
She was a member of Mt. Leba
non Baptist church.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs.
Emma Lawson and Mrs. Pearl
Lawson, both of Buffalo, Rt. 1;
two brothers, Earl Estes, of
Greenw’ood. and Henry Estes, of
'Clinton.
Funeral services were conduct
ed Saturday at 2:00 p. m., at Mt.
Lebanon Baptist church by the
Rev.- J. D Brown and the Rev.
John Allen. Burial was in the
church bemetery.
Pallbearers were Russell, Giles,
Jack and Henry Lawson, Jr.,
Lewis and Luther Boulware. j
