Mrs. Eva Anderson was dis charged from the local hospital on August 12 following treat ment. Mrs. Evelyn Hunter, is a patient at Joanna hospital for treatment. J. D. Turner, was honored'w-ith a party at her horn? on Magnolia street Satur day afternoon. The honoree was celebrating her fourth birthday. Invited guests were largely mem bers of her Sunday school class. Rev. Turner entertained the chil dren with outdoor games. The dining table was centered with the decorated cake bearing yellow candles. The color scheme of yellow and white was carried out in the party decorations. Fancy party hats and candy were given as favors. Refreshments of ice cream and f frosted miniature cakes were served.' 1 , Methodist Women Met On last Tuesday members of the Woman’s Society of Christian Service of Epworth church met for the monthly session. The president, Mrs. Rudolph Prater, presided over the business session at which time the minutes of the previous executive meeting were read. The group, Accepted the changes’made in the social by laws. The program, "Measuring Our Growth,” was presenuted by Mrs. J. L. Abrams. Assisting her were Mrs. J. C. Simpson and Mrs.^C. R. | O’Dell.
