Mr. and Mrs. Rolfe Clark visit ed the latter’s mother, Mrs. W. G. Puckett, in Greer Sunday. if Dr. and Mrs. W. J. Carter and children were visitors in Green ville on Saturday. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jacks on Sunday were: Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Green, Jr., and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Crouch and Vickel, all of Clinton ;Miss Geraldine Bowen and John Wayne of Joanna. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bannister and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Curt Bannister of Green wood, were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Bartley. Later in the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Bartley, along with their guests motored to Greenville and visited Mr. and Mrs. Joe McNeal. Mrs. Sallie Crcoker has return ed to her home in Whitmire after spending a few weeks with her daughter, Mrs. John Gaskin, and Mr. Gaskin. Miss Sue Scott of Pelzer, was hte week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Carr. Mr. and Mrs. G. N. Foy were business visitors in Columbia on Saturday. Those attending a dinner meet ing of the Dale Carnegie groups in Laurens on Friday evening were: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Franze.i, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Bishop, Mrs. G. N. Foy, J. L. Delany. Messrs. Birthday Celebrated On Saturday Kent Prater, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Prater, celebrated his eighth birthday at the Joanna club house with 18 guests present Misses Brenda O’Dell and Becky Farmer led the group in party games. The centerpiece for the party table was a beautiful white birth day cake with green and red dec orations, and five burning can dles. Refreshments of ice cream and cake were served by Mrs. Prater. Each guest was given a party horn as a favor. Kent received many beautiful and usfeul gifts. Waits Family CalabraiM Birthdays On Sunday, Feb. 19, birthday celebrations were en masse for the W. K.
