Jacobs, Jr. Dinner Pcdty For Younger Group 1 Enjoyable among holiday events for the younger folk was the din ner party given by Steve Turner at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin S. Turner. A turkey dinner was served at the prettily appointed dining table where place cards marked the places for ten boys and girls. In the center was a large candle en circled with greenery and o(ma- ments. Each visitor was presented a gift and after dinner bingo was party. Housewarming Given Mr. and Mrs. Jacks On Friday evening of the past week Mr. and Mrs. James R. Jacks, who have recently moved into their new home near here, were given a housewarming. A number of friends, relatives and'neighbors gathered for the de lightfully informal^ went which came as a surprise to the honorees, who. jyere-. showered with attrac tive gifts for the4ocpe. During the evening cake, coffee, cookies and other dainties were served. She plans to continue her education at Presbyterian college. Mr. Eichelberger was graduat ed from McCallie School, Chat tanooga, Term., and attended Clemson college. He is now a junior at Presbyterian College. Refreshments were served buffet in the dining room from a table centered with a crys tal and silver epergne holding gladioli, snapdragons and tall green tapers. Mrs. R. E. Sadler and Mrs. N. Reece Young assisted the hostesses in the dining room. About fifty guests called during the evening. Mrs. R. L. Wheeler, who was visiting her sister, Mrs. John W. Little, was an out-of-town guest. January Meetings ARP Church Circles Mrs. Marvin Turner was hos tess Monday afternoon to members of the ’ {circle of the Woman’s Missionary Society of the Asso ciate Reformed Presbyterian church. , Mrs. George Watts Copeland, spiritual life secretary, led the program on that topic with* sev eral members discussing articles from the Synodical Journal. Later Mrs. Turner served a sweet course. The evening circle, Mrs. James P. Sloan, 1 chairman, met at the church Mi> ,Nolon Carter had ar ranged the program with Mrs. Sloan, Mrs. L. M_. Miss Dodge, whose mother is the former Miss Mary Evans Rankin, of Macon, is a granddaughter of Mrs. George Arthur Rankin and the late Mr. Rankin, of Macon. She attended Wesleyan Conserva tory and is a graduate of Duke, university. She is a member of the Junior League of Macon. Mr. Williamson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Odell Wynne Wil- liamfQiyjjf Macon. His mother is the former Miss v Nfarieti jSemken, of isavaimah. He is a graduate of the United States Military Acad emy fit West Point, N.
