Mrs Alma Harvey and Miss Maude Harvey attended the fun eral services of Mack Davenport near Fountain Inn Wednesday. Miss Betty Lou Parrish spent the week-end with Miss Rita Parrish in Enoree. Neal and Jimmy visited Sunday with the former’s brother and sister-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. Carson Neal in Greenville. Mr. and Mi's. Harry Templeton and family visited Relatives in Greenville Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Armstrong of Gastonia, N. C., spent Friday with his parents. Mr. and Mrs Earl Armstrong. Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Ledford and Debra and Denise Armstrong of Gastonia, spent the week-end with Mrs. Ledford’s parents, the Arm strongs. The young people’s director, Mrs. B. F. Harvey, gave the in troduction, “What GA Means.” Mrs. Clyde Trammell Junior GA counselor, was the director and Mrs. E. C. Burdette, assist ant counselor, gave the charges to the Maiden, Ladies-in-Waiting and Princess. Mrs. L. L. Leach, Intermediate GA counselor, crowned the queen and gave her charge, and also presented the Queen Regent her cape and gave her charge. After the program the congre gation joined in singing “All Hail the Power.” Rev. Stanley Har dee, Jr., pastor, pronounced the benediction. The Lydia Methodist churd^ will have a Christmas program which wlil be a. candle-light ser vice, Sunday afternoon at 5:30 p. m. at the church. The program is planned for this early hour so that those from other churches may attend. Mrs. David Robers is direc tor of the program. The public is invited to attend. * Presbyterian Church Christmas Program The Christmas program at the Lydia Presbyterian church will be held Monday evening at 7:30. This will be a candle-light ser vice. Carols will be sung by the children. Rev. Kenneth Pollock, pastor, invites everyone to attend. Christmas Tree For Children All children of the Methodist church are invited to the Lydia Community building Sautrday afternoon, Dec. 17, at 4:30 for a Christmas party with gifts from the tree for each of the Sunday school children.
