It wet a comeback victory-—was the 20-13 decision achieved over a determined Catawba team that has been tough in every game played this year. For the first time in a month, the Blue Hose didn’t fumble away their sioring chances. In fact they utilized a Catawba fumble to set up their final touchdown. 'PC fumbled twice against Ca tawba—losing the ball one time. In five previous games PC had fumbled 32 times, losing posses sion 10—or an average of about four lost fumbles per game. With Catawba holding PC gun ning aces Ken Webb and Eddie Brockenbrough fairly well in check through the first half of the game, the Indians claimed a 7-6 lead at halftime. That margin was wid ened to 13-6 with Less than three minutes gone in the third period. It wae easy for Butler to sneak over for the sec ond touchdown from that point. With only '18 minutes left to go in the game, the Blue Hose found themselves stymied With a sput tering attack that couldn’t move against a stubborn Indian Une. That is, until Johnny Arm strong a 155-pound mercury man from Honea Path, made his play for the night. PC had stopped a Catawba drive on its own 16-yard line to set up the situation for Armstrong. He took a deep hand- off from quarterback Felder Cock, sprinted through a big hole in the left Side of the Catawba line and after 20 yards of nifty open-field running, broke into the clear. He outran three Indians on his 84- yard touchdown sprint. Big Ken Webb, like Armstrong, sophomore, crashed through right tackle to run over the extra tra point try and the score was tied at 13-all with a minute and a half to go in the third period. The Hose won It after recover ing a Catawba fumble on a PC kick at the Indian 22. On the first play thereafter, Webb took a deep, wide pitchout from Cook and set sail down the sidelines He bowled over two Indians and went into the end zone standing up. Cook, this time, ran the extra point over and that was it. The Hose line which limited the Indians to 9© yards rushing, was in command of the game the rest of the day. The $3,600 maximum allowed be fore 1955 premitted maximum monhtly benefits of $98.50 to a retired worker while the new $4,200 maximum can mean $108.50 to insured employed or self-employed persons retiring after mid-1956 *0 All employees who earn wages of more than $3,600 in a calen dar year should make certain that the new maximum is being reported for them by their em ployer. They can do this, Miss Pressly continued, by checking their pay slips or by checking with their employers. 'The Social Security Adminis tration also advises all workers to check their wage records each five years. Post card forms are available at all social security of fices for this purpose," Miss Pressly advised. The social security representive for the Clinton area is Eld ward G.
