Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller have returned home from a visit with their daughter, Mrs. E. M. Felk- nor, in Alexandria, La. Mrs. Walter Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Harry West and son, Tommy, of SandersvHle. Ga., spent several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Thom well Dunlap. Miss Wiley Davis who has been visiting rela tives in Georgia, returned home with them. Mrs. Carlton F. Winn and daugh ters, Frances and Florence, will return today from several days visit to Mrs. Winn’s brother, J. K. Callaway and Mrs. Callaway in At lanta. Mrs. Louie Thom ley and Mrs. Ethel R. Pitts spent'last week at Myrtle Beach. Mr and Mrs. C. Wayne Jarvis and sons spent the week-end with Mrs. (Ethel R. Pitts. Mr. and Mrs. J. J3. Hart, Lillian, Katherine and Carroll Hart were joined here by Mrs. Hart’s niece, Julia Spear, of Washington, and are spending the week in Day tona Beach, Fla. Mrs. Sara Sheorn, Lynda, Steve and Carold Ann spent last week with her mother, Mrs. C. H. Mc Crary. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Hollis and children spent last week-end in Atlanta, Ga., with relatives of Mr. Hollis. Mrs. Ttiad Johnson, Mrs. Fur Mr. and Mrs. Hutoert Todd, Jane and Joanne, and Mrs. Clyde Todd returned last week-end from a week’s stay in St. Petersburg, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Goyne Simpson are visiting relatives in Atlanta, Ga., this week. Dr. and Mrs. George Blalock and their children, with Wallace Boyd are spending the week at Pawleys Island where they have recently completed a new beach cottage to replace the house de stroyed by last summer’s hurri cane Hazel. Joe Neeley and John Eichel- berger left Greenville Sunday with a group of Boy Scouts who are traveling to (New Mexico by bus for s two weeks' stay at Phiknont Boy Scout Explorers Ranch at Cimarron, N. M. * Mrs. Albert C. Jones and daugh ter, Ann, of Johnson City, Term., are spending two weeks with Mrs. L. C. Duckett. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Blalock drove Bunky Blalock and Johnnie Johnson to Camp Pinnacle, N. C., Sunday where the boys will re main for the rest of this month through August. Gil Huguley joined them there yesterday. Dr. and Mrs. S. E. Latham, of Sumter, were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. Michael Turner last week. This past Monday Law rence M. Brown, of Chicago, 111., stopped over at the Turners for a short visit. R. Michael Turner returned yes terday from a business trip to Lawrence, Mass., where’ he spent several days. Dr. and Mrs. E. N. Doc tor Sullivan will return to Clinton July 31, and Mrs. Sullivan and the boys will stay another week. They will be joined there by Mrs. Sulli van’s sister, Mrs. Douglas Jenkins, Jr., and her son, Douglas, HI, who with her husband, are on State Department leave before going to his new post in Trinidad. The Jen- king returned to the States this week from London, England. Mrs. Kenneth H. Bogle and son, Kenneth, of Marietta, Ga., are vis iting her mother, Mrs. Ayliffe Ja cobs this week. Mr. Bogle plans to come for the week-end and they will drive home Sunday. Moore at their summer cottage on Lake Greenwood. Mr. and Mrs. Pope Chapman at tended the 40 and 8 Ladies night on Monday evening in Green ville. Miss Carolyn Price, of Newber ry, is spending the week with her cousin, Gwen Hit*. Mrs. C. J. Bauknlght and daugh ter, Amelia, of Charleston, are visiting her 'mother, Mrs. Metta Stone. Mr. and Mrs. James C. Marshall spent last Sunday at Parris Moun tain, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Walters and ;sons, of Raleigh, N. C, are visiting Mrs. Walters’ mother, Mrs. F. M. Stutts. They will be accompanied home by Dickie Walters who has spent three weeks with his grand mother. # Mrs. Bertie Parks of the Thom- well staff, is spending a month in York with relatives. Clement, of Charleston, are spending this week with Mrs. Thomas Leake. Mrs. P. M. Clement, Jr., and son, Tommy, and Mrs. Nancy Rav- enel and son, Benny, of Charles ton, spent the week-end with Mrs. Thomas Leake. Spending the week at Mrs. T. C. Johnson’s cottage near Hender sonville, N. C., this week are Mrs. W. H. Simpson, Mrs. Roy Pitts, Mrs. Hubert Pitts, Mrs. W. C. Baldwin, Mrs. H. M. Young and Mrs. Frank Miller. Bobby Homer will leave July 31 for a two weeks stay at Camp Greenville. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Arnold and daughter, Kathryn, are spending the 1 week visiting the former’s brother, W. M. Arnold and fam ily in Beckleor, W. Va., the lat ter’s sisters, Mrs. Edward Alwine in Roanoke, Va., and Mrs. L. W. Rawl in Williameburg, Va. They will be accompanied home on Fri day by their daughtera, Jean and Marjorie, who have been in Wil liamsburg several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Poole and daughter, Alma Jo, recently en joyed a vacation trip through Vir ginia, Ohio, Windsor, Canada, and points of interest en route. Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Col. and Mrs. B. F. Wingard and Binki returned last Thurs day from a three weeks vacation in Florida and Georgia. While Colonel Wingard was at Camp Stewart, Ga.,. Mrs. Wingard and Binki visited friends at St. Si mons Island. Later the family drove to Silver Springs, Fla., and other points of interest in that state before returning to Clinton. Mrs. Lester Bishop is vsiiting Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Walker and their family in Spartanburg. Mrs. Ben Hammet and chil dren are spending the week with Dr. and Mrs. B. J. Hammet in Allendale while Mr. Hammet is at Bedford Springs, Pa., attend ing the annual Marts and Lundy fund raisers conference. Mr. Hammet is accompanied by Otto W. Ferrene, vice-president of Presbyterian College. Edna Jacobs spent last week with her grandparents in Rock Hill, Dr. and Mrs. W. R. Sims. Billy Owens drove from a meeting at Lake Lure, N. C., last week to pick up his daughter, Charlotte, who had been visiting her grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Hays Owens. TTiey reutmed to their home in Knoxville, Tenn., after an overnight visit in the city.
