Jimmy Suttles received a discharge at Fort Benning, Ga., on Wednesday, May 25 Birthday Party Given Mrs. Elmer Queen was host ess at a birthday party Saturday afternoon for little Gary Cun ningham who was celebrating his 4th birthday. \ Fourteen little guests helped Gary enjoy this occasion. Several games were played under the direction of Mrs. Queen, after which they were in vited into the dining room to a prettily appointed table where ice cream and cake were served. Each little guest presented Gary with a gift. Birthday Dinner Given A birthday dinner was given last Sunday at the home of Mr and Mrs. Ashmore Dunaway in honor of the former’s father, W. A. Dunaw'ay, who was celebrat ing his 78th birthday. Mr. Duna way has been in declining health for many years. Baptist Bible School Vacation Bible school will be conducted at Calvary Baptist church June 6-10. Enrollment day will be Saturday morning, June 4, at 9 o’clock. Also the Bible school parade will begin Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. All children from the (tge of three years through sixteen are invited. The principal will be the pastor of the church, Rev. J. W. Spillers. He will be assisted by a faculty of 25 qualified workers. The church bus will run each would like to attend.
