Officials Calhoun Life Insurance Com pany, home office, Columbia, re cently promoted two of its men, according to an announcement by R. H. Lovvom, C. L. U., presi dent. Receiving promotions were A. P. Faris, who becomes vice- president in charge of the Com bination Division and Robert C. Seabrook, C. L U., who becomes vice-presiden in charge of the Ordinary Division of Calhoun Life Insurance Company. These ' promotions are in line with the policy of Calhoun Life to fill executive positions with its per sonnel rather than seeking to fill these from outside the company. They have three children, Pa tricia, a senior at Newberry Col lege, A. P., Jr., a pre-med stu dent at the University of South is a native of Columbia. Imme diately after graduation from The Citadel at Charleston in 1941, Mr. Seabrook entered the army where he served until dis charged in 1945 as a captain. In December of 1945, he entered the insurance business as an ag ent for Volunteer State Life In surance Company, later being promoted to assistant manager. In March, 1954, Mr. Seabrook joined Calhoun Life 4i agency manager. Mr. Seabrook is married to the former Emily Wolfe of Or angeburg and has three young daughters. He is a past presi dent of the Columbia life Under writers Association and in Sep tember, 1954, became a charter ed Life Underwriter having, passed all required examinations. Very active in civic work, Mr. Seabrook is an officer of the Co lumbia Sertoma club, a member of Forest Lake Counry club, and a charter member of St. Martin’s m-the-Fields Episcopal church of Columbia.
