N. C., spent the week-end with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace
D. Payne. Friends of Mr. Payne
will be interested to know he re
turned to his home here Tuesday
from General hospital, Green
ville, where he has been a pa
tient the past week.
Mr. and Mrs. Burton K. Wood,
ward returned yesterday to their
home in Millington, N. J., after
spending the past week with
their daughter, Mrs. Donald
Schlier, and Mr. Schlier.
Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn Sturgeon
and children spent the week-end
with the former’s mother, Mrs.
H. E. Sturgeon. Their friends
will be interested to know Mr.
Sturgeon was transferred by the
Commerpial Credit Corp., from
Greenville, to Florence whero
they are now making their home.
Mr. and Mrs. John Long of
Johnstown, Pa., are spending
several weeks with their daugh
ter, Mrs. James Rutledge and
Capt Rutledge at their home on
Young Drive.
Mr. and Mrs. Grady Adams
and children of Aiken, spent the
week-end with the latter’s moth-

tured an ankle in a fall and is
now at home for a few days.
