Clements (D-Ky), acting Demo cratic leader, announced today the Senate will hold memorial services March 2 for the late Sen. Bumet R. Maybank, South Carolina Dem ocrat. Sen. Maybank, a Charlestonian, died Sept. 1, 1964, at Flat Rock, N. C., after serving 13 years in the U. S. Senate. He formerly was al derman and mayor of Charleston and governor of South Carolina. Readings on Camp Fire activi ties and interests were given. These included discussions on Camp life, the seven crafts, the group name, and wood gatherer’s rank. One of the members led the group in singing the Camp Fire song. Every member participated in some way on the program. A delightful sandwich course was prepared by the members Aid served. Sweetheart Box Sapper During the month of March a Sweetheart Box Supper will be held by all the Camp Fire and Blue Bird groups of Petega- Dis trict. The date will be announced later. The purpose of the box supper is to afford each member the privilege of inviting her father or mother as her guest. Individual boxes decorated for the occasion will be judjttxl separately lor first and second prizes in each group. Each group wiki participate on die program. National Guild of Piano Audition An audition under the National Guild of Piano wtfU be held March 18th and 19 for the pupils of Mrs. Joe E. Land. Each spring an au dition is held for pupils interested sufficiently to prepare a program for displaying their achievement; of requirement for the purpose of receiving new classification in their musical studies.
