Bynun, died Wednesday night at her home on Sloan street after several years of declining health. She was a native of Laurens county but spent mose of her married life in Florida. For the past 2T years she had made her home h^re. She was a daughter of the late William Y. and Lol- lie Johnson Jacks. She was a! member of Calvary Baptist church. She is survived by four daugh ters and one son, Mrs. R. R. Cara way, Auburndale, Fla.; Mrs. E. B. McGunkin, Misses Lillie and Inez Byrum, all of this city; and B. L. Byrum of Bradenton, Fla.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchi Idren. Funeral services were con ducted Fiday afternoon at the Gray Funeral Home by the Rev. J. W. Spillers. Burial followed in Calvary cemetery. Woman's Club Meeting Tuesday evening the regular meeting of the Woman’s dub was held at the Community house with a number in attend ance. During the evening the pupils of Mrs. Eugene Johnson and Mrs. A. B. Blakely gave a Thanksgiv ing program. Later a social hour was enjoy ed and sandwiches, pound cake and coffee were served. Mrs. Edna Trannyham was welcomed as a new member. Sen. Brown Leoves On Rest Cruise To Venexuelo Columbia, Nov. 20.—State Sen. Edgar A. (Brown of Barnwell, re cent loser in his third bid for s seat in the U. S. Senate, has left for a rest in Caracas, Venezuela, a travel agency office here reported today. Mrs. Brown and he had reserva tions to leave yesterday from New York on the passenger ship “Santa Rosa.” The Browns left the state Wed nesday for New York for a vaca tion. At Barnwell, his office reported the senator would not be back there until mid-December, but said it had been instructed not to reveal where the senator and Mrs. Brown had gone.
